1990 Excella interior renovation

I posted my photos at the following photobucket link showing my renovation of our 1990 Airstream Excella 29 ft twin. I am posting in case this helps others with ideas on the following.
Bathroom floor repair, toilet flange build to replace too short one after raising the floor, toilet replacement, wallpaper, upholstery, flooring, drapes replacement.
I can provide my various material info for anyone interested. We love the 1990 Excella. It is my favorite of our last 4 Airstreams.
Good luck and enjoy the before and after photos.

Looks great

I have looked at the photos of the refrub of your Excella, I have a very similar trailer (89 25 twin Excella) and and in process of updating. I needed all new appliances, now that I have a new frig, furnace and water heater I am starting to polish. The interior is next.

Here is my question; it looks like you recovered the couch and it looks great. Did you consider replacing it?

Thanks for the pictures.

I took the sofa apart and bought fabric from OHCO in Covington, ,GA www.ohcoinc.com, a place that has a sale twice a year, got half off the fabric. I found a great couple (Ken Holmes and wife, Monroe, GA) to take my fabric and recover the 11 items. He quoted a great price by the piece, so no surprise when I went to pick up the pieces. I could not believe the fantastic job that they did. Also, the Sofa was still very firm and the back swing over to make a full bed worked great so I did not want to replace it. Plus the platform and drawer were in great shape.
Thnaks, Ron

Sorry, have not been on the forum in a while and missed the above question about photobucket. You can go to Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket and register and login and create a folder and upload your images. Some, I had to resize while still on my pc to lower resolution for size of file. Once loaded, I clicked a share option while viewing in say slide mode. Then copied and pasted that link in the forum for others to use to view images. Hope the work is going well.

Hey, some of us kind of ARE neighbors! Your Excella looks GREAT! We have a new-to-us 89 Excella and have done the floors and are making the back bedroom into a bunkroom for our kids, with triples on each side and one in the center. We are taking our very first trip in it next weekend!!!! Anyone care to join us at Clark Creek Campgound on Alatoona in NW Georgia the 30th and 31st?

so did you wind up replacing your sofa? I am undecided. I have a 1990 29' Excella and the sofa is pretty comfy but it does need recovering. i have been thinking about replacing it but would like some other input.

You have done a fantastic job. We have a 1991 29 ft. Excella. So far we have replaced curtains, floor, carpet, faucets and toilet. We chose to recover the sofa and had a shop near us do this rather than try it ourselves.

What type of paint did you use on the interior walls and the door. That is our next project and I want to do it right.

Thanks
