I have searched but need to start a thread of my own questions. I am wondering what are prefered methods.
We recently purchased a 1989 33' Airstream Land Yacht "squarestream" but we like underdogs. Both the walls and ceiling appear to be vinal wallpaper over thin plywood.
We are assuming the best bet to remove all wallpaper and wood to expose what's underneath. Once we do the rebuild portion, however, whats the best go to material or build out for the new walls and ceiling?
It sounds like you are doing a "gut job" - removing all the interior shell. My 30 ft Land Yacht has 1/2 inch plywood for the walls and ceiling covered in a plastic type wallpaper. Raw plywood looks terrible painted. We used a good quality primer and paint and painted over the wallpaper. If you have the option, I'd consider trying to save what you can of the walls and ceiling and re-install it, then, paint it. Just one option...
