Thumbs up Stipping the Glue...

I did some glue stripping today...
The Jasco worked well. I scrubbed at it with a synthetic steal wool for a few minutes before wiping it off with a damp rag. I let it sit for about 30 minutes before scrubbing.

Nasty stuff, but it is working.

There is some better info here: http://www.airforums.com/forum...ighlight=vinyl

Update: mastercard style

First trip to Home Depot:
Steal Wool, small metal pale, 5 gallon rinse bucket, epoxy brush...
Stripping the glue, and sanding the interior - ~15 hours

Second trip to Home Depot:
Roll of brown papper, calking, calking gun, spong
Getting ready to mask for painting ~ 4 hours (includes cleaning time)

Third trip to Home Depot:
one roll of blue tape...becuse I forgot to get it last trip...
Masking the arch ~ few hours

Forth trip to Home Depot:
One more roll of blue tape...because that should surely be enough...

Fifth trip to Home Depot
Time to contemplate how 3M gets so little tape on such a seemingly big role...

Arriving at Home Depot 10 minutes after closing...admittedly a bit relieved

You guys should mix it up a little. A trip to Home Depot next to Lowes. I think I saw a Lowes just South of Bolder off of Rt 36 last year.

Smile Stock

I am not one to give $ advice, but maybe you should get a few shares of Home Depot too.

Good luck on your project. Being a "purist", I'm cringing. I can only hope that the parts you've taken out get put to good use. Owning an Airstream is what makes us so unique. I've never seen anyone strip out an SOB and do what you're doing, so kudos to you.
