Hi All:

Any advice where I might find actual dimensions for my Airstream interior layout? I am doing a full reno and would like to do something similar to the attached picture except have the shower on one side and the sink/toilet on the other(both behind the wheels)

Much appreciated!!

Best,

Ryan

I can't help with the dimensions but can say that the few times I've looked at this type of redo, the dang window locations were the show stopper. We would have had to re skin on side to move a window and keep it from ending up having a wall thru the middle of it.

The floor plan before changes is my trailer.
Is there some reason you don't mimic the floor plan exactly?
I think the north/south bed in the original floor plan will work better than an east/west bed.
You only have to side shuffle step around one side rather than 2 sides.
Better yet- Twin beds would be even better for storage, walking between, and making the beds.
I think the floor plan is one of the best one offered by Airstream.

@m.hony
The original plan had a rear bath with a twin bed on each side to the wheel well.

I wanted a queen size so my girlfriend and I can have a quasi bedroom. The only way to be able to fit the bed and the shower stall was to turn it sideways. I am building the bed so that the mattress lifts and I can have storage underneath.

I also like having the shower stall separate from the sink/toilet so that if another couple is with us, one can be showering while the other is using the water closet.

That said, nothing is set in stone yet so everyone feel free to offer better ideas or poke holes in mine.

I was speaking of the altered drawing in post #4.
I wouldn't think the north/south bed in the original floor plan would take any more space than the east/west bed in the altered version.
Shower stall on one side.
Toilet and lavatory on the other.
Door to toilet and lavatory closes off toilet and lavatory for privacy and opens and latches to the wall by the shower to make a bigger bathroom area for dressing.
Best of both worlds-
I don't see why you can't duplicate the Classic 30 floor plan in your trailer.
Looks like it would work.
I know where the windows are in a Classic 30.
I'm not sure where the windows are in your trailer.
That may be a non-issue or it may be a huge issue.
