1956 26 Overlander Overhaul - Floor plan question

Im not sure what to name her, quite yet, but my trailer is definitely a she

Im at a point where I need to finalize the floor plan in order to move forward. While I like the idea of the bathroom just behind the kitchen for plumbing reason and overall functionality, Im questioning whether that will be too much weight on the right side.

I placed a small booth opposite the kitchen but considering I already have adequate seating near the front, and the majority of my friends have told me I wont need it, I am replacing the booth with a longer bench, a pantry, and more storage.

The bathroom is small. The idea is to have a door that is water proof and the sink, toilet and shower all share the same flooring. Plus Ill have an outdoor shower.

Also in photo is an upper cabinet above sink but Im planning to remove so I have more head space, however, Ill still have uppers opposite the kitchen sink.

Lastly, I have not ordered my axle because I need to calculate weight once I decide on appliances, cabinets, couch, bed....etc.

Thanks for looking and giving feedback!

Hi rowdy,

I have a 1968 overlander and am also trying to finalize the layout before moving forward. Did you go forward with this design? My current plan looks pretty similar. Were you converting from a rear to mid bath? Any issues/advice? Much appreciated!!
