Traveler...the full-timing Airstream Life

This October will mark four years on the road for us. We don’t live an Instagram life and there are some days when living out of less than 200 square feet can be a bit tough, but sometimes it’s good enough when people fall into something which he or she dreamt of and just loves. We are those fortunate people.

When travelers have the time, they can take the road less traveled. Those country routes wind through small towns, great expanses of desolate country, and bucolic sweeps of ranch land. When one is traveling on interstate highways, he or she must take care in gauging the speed of fellow drivers, especially those in front of the travel trailer. The desolate country route still requires attention but allows for more observation of the passing terrain; the thin ribbon of asphalt rolls over it like a blind man’s hand over a face. You can see and feel what lies before you.

Here’s a soundtrack for our tribe…

Thanks for the video. Looks like you've seen some interesting places. Beautiful scenery in those boondocking sites!

Really nice, Jeff! Thank you.

I have posted that great Chris Stapleton tune on the OTRA I music thread:

http://www.airforums.com/forums/f161...-i-143331.html

Your video makes Chris's music come alive in a special way!

Thanks again,

Peter

PS everyone --You can click on the YouTube link at the top of the YT frame in Jeff's first post, and the video will open up in a new window, which you can then expand to Full Frame -- gorgeous!

Historical Markers

Here's a tip:

There are historical markers just about everywhere you go - and most of them have a nice parking area. I've pulled into them as a lunch stop ("lunch and learn" about the area) and sometimes to overnight. There is a website that lists all these markers and will show you the ones nearby. See http://HMdb.org

I use it with my smartphone's browser.

Thanks, that was really nice. I've been getting a little discouraged renovating my '71 Ambassador, now I'm ready to take on today's project!

Thanks for sharing your video. We've just started this summer living full time in our AS. Not doing much documentation for social avenues, but videos and photos taken will be put together and shared in a similar way. Yours is a really nice example. May your road be smooth and traffic light...

Did you try the Full Screen option suggested in the PS in Post #5?

PS -- The closing scene is really nice [4:00] . . . the sound of the wind . . . especially in Full Screen . . .

Utterly Enjoyable!

This was so inspiring! Thank you! What a beautiful country we live in and you found some amazing places and captured them beautifully on "film". Four years is quite an accomplishment. Congrats! Kim (and you ride nicely too! )

Looks wonderful. As an east coast person, I do not understand how one can pull off the roads at some of these beautiful boondock sites. Guess I'll eventually figure it out when we go full time in a few years.

AS dealers should play this video in their showrooms. That’ll get the blood and $$$ flowing...

Great pictorial and music! Where all have you gone on your journey? Most of the pics seem taken out West; is that correct? Very nice.
