Three years on now...

This past October marked our third anniversary of life on the road. I am laid up with a sprained ankle and wrenched lower back while we sit out winter, boondocking in the Arizona desert, just below Utah. With time on my hands I resort to making home movies. Please forgive my repetition but the desert is a quiet and still place. I have culled old images from three videos, added a few new ones, and attached them to a new song - a song that most likely refers to the songwriter's past drug demons but one that I refer to suburbia and the rat race.

Merry Christmas everybody, and wishes for a Happy New Year. Be safe out there and happy Airstreaming.

Your video is absolutely stunning...beautiful. Could watch this over and over.

Hope your back improves, take care of it. Also, hope Cinnamons knee has had time to get well.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to the both of you!

Sorry to hear of your injuries, but what a great video...and three years, already!

Congratulations on this adventure anniversary, and may there be many more to come.

Merry Christmas to you, and all the best in the New Year.

Maggie

Three years on now...

Jeff,

Love your pictures and video... some familiar places, some that I hope to find someday. Thanks for sharing!

It was a pleasure to meet you earlier this year, albeit briefly.

Merry Christmas... may the spirit of the holidays be with you throughout the New Year.

Best Regards - Ron

Thanks folks for the well wishes - I appreciate it. Thanks 79nTOW for remembering my wife, Coffee's, injury from last year - sorta ironic I was on crutches one year later. I like Cinnamon, too...just don't call her Decaf. She has recovered 98% and we will never tow at night. It's sorta weird but just in the last year I've become that super conservative driver - my night vision is shot and I now prefer settling into the right lane at 55 mph; the occasional sage brush looks like a cow and we bought a light bar. Lessons learned.

It's been great to meet the occasional airforums member; I always ask Airstream owners. Ron, you snuck up on me but it was pretty fun to meet you in your state's backyard - I would proudly use your username if you didn't have it already. I expect to hook up with you, Photobum, some day soon up Green Creek Road. Couldn't make it this past Fall due to helping out our kids. Look forward to meeting other fellow members on the road!

(Oh, and happy to hear from you, Maggie.)

Video

Very nice video. Liked the compilation of stills and video blended together. Sprained ankle very painful. Long recovery period. Broke mine in Golden Co. on black ice in a snow storm. Tough getting around on crutches, especially in boondocks. Wife had to learn new TV and TT skills that included a lecture to me on "Don't do that again". Be well. Travel well.
