I think I did drive it, without my Airstream. I remember in the middle of it I found a dry wash with a zillion fossilized shellfish.

I attached a photo of Coyote Buttes which is in the same area. Some serious off road to get there. I hired a guide. It's a maze back there, no map, no signs.

Also is The Wave in this area. The have a lottery for permits into The Wave. Google it!

Hmm...I'll need photograph evidence to see how you fare in the snow banks. Darn...we'll probably getting there right when you're leaving. I'll try to get there before the end of September but I'm not sure now if we'll be in Oregon or Idaho.

I am planning on a semi adventurous off the beaten track trip to the Hanksville UT area the week of October 8. The Maze in Canyonlands is a must. Also in the area is Robber's Roost Canyon, Horseshoe Canyon and Goblin Valley. Basecamp in Hanksville. Some roads need high clearance and/or 4x4. Anyone interested?
