As we were walking through the aisles I told Sara that were a bunch of scary looking people shopping in walmart at 2 am...... she said, "Dad, we're here." LOL!~

Yes, the average American nowadays . . and some others. The good and bad of getting out of the ghetto of salaried work is this.

Excellent post, OP. Look forward to more.

So so so spot on! Just repeated deep inhalations of true freedom all day long, day after day. Hope to see you on the road sometime.

Cheers,
John

Makes me feel glad, even though I'm freezing, to be on a remote cattle ranch in my Airstream in north central New Mexico mountains! Nice post.

What a wonderful description of first month of the new life that you have embarked on. Made me happy to read it the first time and even happier for you the second time I read it. My wife and I live in Yunnan Province, China, for six months of the year and planning on air-streaming the other six months of each year. We just did the grand circle of Utah National Parks in a whirlwind three weeks finishing last week. After visiting grandkids around the country (flying) will pick up again wherever left off in January 2015.

If you staying in St George area for awhile and are looking for a nice park - we spent a few nights in the Zion River Resort after returning to the Zion area as the National Park was full. It is a top notch and beautiful park right on the Virgin River in Virgin, about 10 miles west of Zion. Great place but pricy. They do have a winter rate of about 400.00 a month and I may end up there for a month or two to really see Zion and Bryce in winter.

I hope you keep that same love for the freedom that you have found for you lifetime. Happy and safe travels..

How sweet...

You two look so peaceful and happy siting on the tailgate. Drinking coffee?
I can never get the coffee right in those old style cowboy percolators. I always boil it to long or two short. can't get the right flame, can't get the right amount of grounds. True story….A full timer who was a rocket scientist, did a study, and said the pot should spout every 1.5 seconds. Anyway, the picture makes it look like you got the coffee thing down. ( and the smiling thing )

Very well written and descriptive post... I completely get it, as I live on the borderline of OC myself. JUST bought a vintage AS we are restoring, and someday.... someday.

But we have property in Kanab, and spent our vacation there over the summer visiting each of the parks. A park a day, and it was too short! so very beautiful and awe-inspiring. I can't wait to go back, and that may be the first extended AS trip we plan. It's a good test trip for when we get everything in order and hooked up. Still working on that.....

safe travels! and post up the follow-up.... how's the next 60 days treating you??

Life is an adventure. It is so much more interesting when you take part in the experience and adventure rather than watching it pass you by. Sounds like you've got your channel dialed in to perfection. Good stuff.
