Welcome Aboard!! 👍...if you're still there.

We use both 'de' in Summer.... 'er' in Winter. 👍

Did we 'skeer the OP away?

Purchased this one for our trailer it runs 24/7 9 months, works good takes about 8 oz. daily when trailer is closed up sometimes more when it’s very humid outside. Can feel the difference in the inside air when you walk in. I think it works fairly well I leave a window cracked open a bit.

We bought this one and ended up returning it and going for a larger unit. I think the larger unit was over $100 but it’s about 4x more effective with a larger reservoir. Works amazingly, love our dehumidifier

Humidifier in colder weather,any thoughts?

The Eva-dry doesn’t have a compressor so I feel it’s more suited for environments of an Airstream that’s not lived in. If you have a large trailer this unit may not extract enough moisture.Units with a compressor will ice over when temperatures below 50 F. or so.

Never had a need to increase humidity in a travel trailer. The shower vent and two powe vents in the FC make reducing humidity less of an issue than we had with our Scamp previously.

My take on the original question is that he was trying to reduce humidity, which occurs when cooking. My experience, like others, is I've never experienced too little humidity, only and often too much.
One thing that really reduces humidity is too cook with a pressure cooker, like an Instant Pot. Usually I put it outside which also avoids adding heat to the interior, which I'm also usually trying to avoid.
But it can go inside too. I can make a pot of stew or soup, with hardly any steam escaping into the cabin. It is a great appliance. I use it at home several times a week.
thanks,
