Furnace On The Fritz Again! More Clues! Help!!

Howdy!

Thought I should start a new thread as my other ended in success which has now been repealed!

BUT A common issues seems to have instigated both: Propane tank turn over.

First time I did it and unhooked the full one then the empty but perhaps it was just the switch over that caused it...

First time I was getting the led flash once every second which is a flow problem...

First time I was able to work the electrical connections BUT I had also been coached about closing and opening the valves very slowly. Maybe the propane flow is causing this.

More facts. it happened when cold in the 30°'s...

I'm sure the propane switch over shouldn't be causing this but unsure where the error lies.

Any clues on how to proceed or if this is a common error?

Thanks!

Warren

Here is the earlier 12/24/18 thread, to put things in context and provide continuity for the thought process:

Sometimes a new thread, on its own, can complicate the analysis IMO.

Are you using the automatic propane tank switch over valve or manually switching tanks?

Auto switch.

I started with one full and one felt maybe half weight wise. The place I stopped to fill was having issues and couldn't get more into the tank for some reason. That one has now emptied and I'm working from a full one.

All other propane appliances, stove and water heater fine.

Thanks,

Warren

The tech at Coach Net explained to me that an air embolism can get into the line. I have to turn off valves, remove hoses, reattach and very slowly open the vales taking about 1 minute each.

This is so the air can be worked back to the propane tank and propane fill the lines....

Really???

I'm hoping it was/is a one time deal with each tank.... or sumthin......

Thanks,

W

One minute to open the valve? Lifes to short for that. Anytime I put a fresh tank in service I go to the range and light all the burners and let run 30 secs or so and good to go. I will also check the fridge and verify thru the exterior door that the burner chamber is hot.

Just a FYI, knowing you're under warranty and Veg\Hed wasn't and is also an older version. However the visual images in the thread may help re the likely failed parts parts and their function.
