If Airstream made a Classic front bedroom, we would have bought one. But the difference for us was the rear living area in the 27 where the view is. When we back up to a nice trout river, we can sit in the dinette and enjoy the view instead of looking at our truck or the campground traffic going by. And, with the Tommy Bahama, we got some additional counter space.
Good luck, your will enjoy anything you decide upon, just don't ever look back.

Rick

A 30 Airstream is measured tip to tip making it the equivalent of about 27 as measured by most other brands.

I had three 30' & a 31', 4 different Airstream trailers, before I got the idea that I might like a smaller trailer when I retired. So, I got the 25' (for 3 month winter snowbird) and soon realized the larger trailer is better for living in. That's why I have the 34' (now 5-6 month winter snowbird).
Though, the 25' is better for traveling the long distance/cross country traveling we do in summer.
If I had to choose just one trailer, I would go back to the 30'.

add edit:
I'm with you regarding the new Classics. There are too many mechanized gadgets and systems that will fail and require maintenance. I would not buy a new one.
