Also winterizing in Central Valley California

Remove cold beer, remove Gin and Tonic fixins, replace with winter wine and eggnog and brandy. Back under shelter, install solar convective loop collector in south window. That about sums it up and check all systems as ongoing preventative maint.Cheers to all Tim

Hi, I have to disagree with you. I was born in Southern California and except for two years in the Army I spent my entire life here. 61 -2 =59 years spent in Southern California. We have four seasons: Fires, Floods, Earthquakes, and Riots.

Oh, I forgot. Winterizeing; I closed all the vents, closed all the windows, Locked the door, drained all the tanks, parked it in my drive way, and once a month I put the battery charger on to keep my batteries from catching a cold. Burrrrrrrrrrr It got down as low as 47 degrees, once!

Winter without at least some snow just doesn't seem right. You must feel just horrible with your windshield scraper, snow brush, and snow shovel all collecting dust. I'll bet you even got cheated by your TV salesperson and didn't get the block heater option. So many times I've read advertisements for "Loaded" vehicles from CA for sale and when you talk to them you find out they aren't in fact loaded, they don't have a block heater .

If you are able to get those rivets to do what you tell them please pass on the necessary steps to the rest of us. I could use that technique on more than rivets in my shop this year.

And congrats on the RM status. Do you get preferred parking at events now?

Barry

Congratulations on your Rivet Master status. This is a great post and I enjoyed the cryptic remarks about winterizing. My problem this year is that the temperatures are staying in the 50's, no winter yet.
