I have been up to you know where with computer problems for the past three or more weeks. First my desktop crashes, then my laptop does the same thing. To top it all of, a new program I installed on our church computer caused problems in a data base. So which problem to tackle first?
1. I reloaded the OS on the Laptop plus all of its programs. Finished it about a week ago.
2. Started on the desktop but diverted to the Church computer. The church computer is now a dual boot unit. I will install it again tomorrow before church. Hopefully, it will run like a champ there as it does at my house. When everyone that uses it is happy with the updated OS I will remove Win98SE
3. The desktop is almost totally functional. For some reason it now refuses to load my newer version of Corel Wordperfect. It was on this machine. At the moment I have resorted to an older version. Will attack the install of the newer Corel version problem at a later date.
Some people building a spec home opposite us wondered why I winterized the Airstream about two weeks back. Hah!. I beat the cold snap that came in. Now all my wife and I need is some good weather after January 1 so that we can head south for Arizona/California/death valley. Sometime somewhere I did get onto web site with a long discussion about the proper way to winterize. Somehow I just can't buy the argument that you need to get an airt hose anfd blow out the lines. I think a good flushing with antifreeze is sufficient.
