The antifreeze will only drain to the level of the exit pipe on the P-trap. All drains have a P-trap to keep odors from the tanks from coming back up the drains. I don't know what that level is, but if your shower is draining normally otherwise, it must be about where the antifreeze level is.
Typically the shower drains into the gray tank.
The vent opens when there is suction due to water draining into the tank. It lets the drain work faster without gurgling due to air bubbles. From Oatey:
"The In-Line Vent replaces any secondary plumbing vent protecting the traps of kitchen. It breaks the siphoning action caused by draining water. Prevents sewer gas from escaping from the drain sinks, bathroom basins, tub, shower, and washing machines into the home."
