Also, since you mentioned that your garage will have HVAC, it is critical that that be an independent system from the one that will condition your living space. Garages and living space should never be connected to the same duct system. I've seen many houses where they run a supply duct from the home's HVAC and dump it in the garage to "take the edge off" of the temperature in the unconditioned space. HORRIBLE IDEA. The finished space is now under vacuum and the garage is pressurized. This ensures that garage fumes full of VOC's are being drawn into the living space.

Would love to know more about the special septic system that you put in for your AS.

Nothing that special, just planning ahead... Lake lot has typical aerobic / septic system (no City sewer). So, to accommodate using AS while at the lake, I am having an extra sewer drain placed between the house and the separate garage for the RV dump site. External garage will be approx. 75 ft from the house, so I am having RV "dump station" placed approx. 40 ft from the garage. So, when AS is backed out and parked between house and garage, AS will be within easy (hose) reach to the dump station. Water and electric hookups will be inside the garage and within easy reach of a 50 ft. extension cord / hose.

Garage form boards are in place and plumbing rough has been completed. Hoping to pour slab either Mon or Tues of this coming week. Once we get further along with the project, will post a few pictures for you to see.

All, thought I would post a couple of pics of the Airstream Garage Mahal! Making good progress and anticipate garage to be complete by end of month. Just talked to AS dealer yesterday, and new 33 Classic is scheduled to come off line on 7/16, with delivery around 10 days later. So, good timing all around. As garage progressed, we have added a full guest suite above garage floor vs. an empty loft area, as cost to do so was relatively inexpensive once structure / foundation was in place. Pics show drive through bay for AS with 12X12 doors on each end. Will have 18X10 door on front side of garage for car / toy / shop access on other side. We are getting anxious to have it completed and start enjoying our new lake lot!

Mahal is right! Great job. It appears as if one side faces the lake? What sort of access does your structure have to enjoy the view from this side? An open or sliding barn door design would allow for a porch off that side, so your stationary guest could bring the beautiful outdoors in.
