Mine was outside in northern Michigan until 2 years ago. The biggest problem mine had was all the new plastic roof vents cracked from the heat and cold. Guess I'll be installing those again.

Storage

I store my 2008 Safari Indoors, less than $500. for six months. You pay a lot of money for an Airstream protect it. Weight, freezing rain, hail, freezing and thawing. I pull it out in spring and she is ready to go.

Sub zero weather is coming
Do you recommend bringing in the leather cushions?

Leather

This will be the first winter for our new 2017 International (in central PA) so no experience there, but I've had several vehicles with leather upholstery. Not aware of any adverse effect with those exposed to 0 degrees.

Covered storage seems to be in short supply. I called a number of facilities in Pa out to State College and all were full. First year owning a trailer and didn't expect that much demand. Many places didn't call back, so after my 2nd or 3rd call I considered they were full and not interested.

Does anyone know a directory of places that offer inside/covered storage?
Am open to anything within a 3 hours drive from Easton, Pa.

Bambi outdoor cover

All the covers I find are for longer models. We want a high quality cover as we live in New Hampshire and get lots of snow, ice and rain during the winter.
The body of Bambi (2007 75th Anniversary model) is really only 14 feet long.
Does any have a recommendation for finding a tight (or at least decent) fit?
Many thanks, Mike and Judith

They aren't real leather. Anyway, the cold won't hurt them.

if you are talking about a fabric cover that goes directly on your Airstream, don't do it. It is not recommended as it can abrade the finish on the aluminum.

I had a beautiful custom cover made out of Sunbrella fabric by Calmark.

Covered Storage is probably best, I like having my Airstream at home primarily for security concerns and an it serves as a retreat, watch a movie, read an Airstream magazine or plan a trip. I would get the roof looked at once a year.
