Summer Storage in the Texas Heat

We live on a ranch just outside Austin and would appreciate some advice on air circulation when the AS is not being used. We don't have a cover over the AS and it heats up like crazy during the day. We have solar and that's great for keeping the batteries charged. Should we keep a couple of windows cracked, and perhaps the Magic fan running.
