Does the first window aft of the door open, or is it fixed?

Hmmm...local source for the carport? We might consider one as well, unless the city decides to dictate how we build it...

you mean can it open, then me open the door and it swing out and shatter it?..yes, I believe it can....as per instruction from "IggyWalker" - better to consider that window permanently closed....

IggyWalker, yeah, I think it will require a permit - my area should be a tad more lenient...my structure will be very basic...hopefully no big issues with a permit...

We decided not to "unstick" that window next to the door and do not plan to use it. There is nothing to prevent the door from hitting it if open.

Really staring to think about a carport too will have to hunt down some sources.

We have stored our trailer in the back yard for years. Eventually, I got some trees trimmed that allowed me to park the trailer in the front yard.
The owner of the funeral home behind the house offered my Airstream-owning neighbor and me the opportunity to park in his parking lot yo keep people from using the parking lot as a thoroughfare. He even said we could hook up to electricity. The previous owners of the funeral home had a motorhome. My neighbor has already parked his trailer there, but will probably take it bake to his country place where he has a shed for it after his next trip. After our trip this weekend, I might park my trailer at the funeral home. It will look like an Airstream rally at a funeral home. It will help us tremendously with our parking situation at home- too many people, too many cars, and not enough driveway-
Also, there are no trees or power lines over the trailer when parked at the funeral home. I had a near miss with a tree limb during a storm Sunday with the trailer sitting in the driveway at home under an old Oak tree. When I park in the backyard, birds poop on the trailer. No tree limbs, no bird poop = win, win-
Even storing at the funeral home will be temporary until I get a shed built.
Is this not the strangest parking situation? 2 Airstreams at a funeral home?

I could anticipate a lot of DW's driving by saying " See Honey, you CAN'T take your Airstream with you."

The trailer is winterized and sitting in the funeral home parking lot where it will probably be till March.
My neighbor's Airstream is there, too, but probably for a shorter period of time. He is going to the Mississippi Unit's Christmas rally December 3, 4, and 5 and will probably store it in a shed on his farm after the rally. I noticed a new dent on his trailer. Looks like he turned tight to the left by a pole on the right side and the rear of the trailer swung out pivoting on the wheels and whacked a telephone pole.

Our airstream has never been inside a building for 55 years. Always stored outside in the yard.
My daughter buys investment real estate and picked up a farm about an hour from us, so this year is the first time it has seen the inside of a building. We even have real-time video monitoring.
