Storage / Workspace in Charleston SC

Hi Friends!
I moved to SC and want to have my 1986 Excella 31 follow us to our new home.
Unfortunately we can't have it parked at our home, but need to get a full interior renovation done.
Does anyone have a place we can park our AS and get work done on it?
A barn, shed, garage or some other place I can get to and work in my free time.
Anything within Charleston Area...

I tried a few RV storage places but they dont allow working on the unit.
Any help is much appreciated - our other alternative is to sel lthe unit as it is still in CA.

Thank you!!

Matt

Try USave Moving/Storage in Awendaw SC, 843-514-1838. I used to store a motorhome there several years ago, and the owner was laid-back and pretty liberal and people did work on their units. If "Mark" is still there, talk to him. Awendaw is about 10-15 miles north of Mt. Pleasant on Hwy 17.

Thanks for the advice.
I called today, but it seems they do not allow anyone to work on their trailers.

I am really running out of options...
It took us two years to get an AS and now we might have to sell it again because I can't finish the work seems such a harsh reality to face!

Thank you for for any help!!!!!

Matt

That's a shame--must have changed their policy since I used them. Did you speak to Mark (I think Harris was his last name)? I can't think of another place in the area that might allow it. I don't really even know if he is still the owner. But if he is there, I'd suggest speaking directly to him and at least ask him if he knows of somewhere else nearby that might allow work to be done.
On a really long shot, you might want to call the KOA in/near Ladson, SC, just north of Charleston. They have a fairly large storage lot, but I just don't recall whether or not I've seen people working on their rigs there.

Here's another long shot--storage place near where I live, but it is about 40 minutes south of Charleston. Edisto Boat & RV Storage, 843-830-1518. Never have noticed if people are allowed to work on stuff there, but I do know they at least let people clean the salt off/out of their boats. You won't be losing anything by asking.
