Storage: How much you pay ?

I've just let my Airstream , in storage now, as the vacation season is over for me, and it's always the surprise to see the increasing price than the storage owner wants; Same place and same period ( from September to April ) even if we consider that is for a year.
This time, I've paid 339 euro...

As i project to buy an another Airstream ( TT or MH, I'm not decided...)and use it , only in USA, i wanted to know if it's easy to find a storage and how much you pay for that.

thank you by advance.

Bruno.

today 339 euro is 479.75 US. for indoor storage, that's cheap to me! i think ingrid paid $75.00 a month for outdoor storage last year = 53 euro a month.

We pay around $120 per month for covered storage in Phoenix. It's very secure and the spot is 12'x40'.

For "carport style" covered storage outside Portland, Oregon, we pay $80 per month for the 21' Globetrotter and $109 for the 34' Excella. No power, no water.

Try approx $180/month for indoor, secured warehouse storage in San Jose, CA area. Power/Water, extra. They will pull it out for you into a staging area for free, if you give them 2 hour's notice (though you have to do it this way, you're not allowed to go in and get it...so I don't think you can call this a "feature" or "free").

I pay $60.00 per month for indoor storage. This place used to be a chicken farm they have barns with cement floors, only draw back is it's 30 minutes one way to get there. They charge $2.50 per overall foot.

No. Where I live, inside storage is very scarce. I pay $120 per month all the time no matter if I am using it or we are on the road.

Yup. Same here. There's a waiting list for spaces.

Price raise

The price for my covered storage slot just went up from $110 to $125 / month. It has a 30A outlet fused to 20A which allows use of the AC or heat pump. The storage yard is fenced, has a code gate, and has security cameras.

My storage bay is slanted which simplifies backing into it. Even so, with 2 8 1/2' trailers side by side, I have to park quite close to the posts in order to have room to fully open the door.

In Southern California (LA County) I pay $110 per month and that is for outside parking/storage. For that you get the "wash bay" to wash your Airstream (it's really just a space with drains and 2 hoses) and an on site "dump station". Thats cheap for the area from what I gathered after looking around months ago when I needed a place to store my new AS.

Waow !!!
The storage in USA is really very expensive....
I think i have to reconsider my project to own an Airstream there... If i use it "only" a few monthes and paying so much in storage, i wonder if it's always a good idea...
except the expensive storage, no other way to store ?

Bruno.

maybe you could trade the parking for some nice French cheese and wine! if you have a choice as to where you store it, you could find an area where costs are lower.

maybe you could trade with someone that wants to store a trailer in France, to do as you want to do here?
