Got one more outing this weekend. Will winterize at the campground since it has full hookups. Then its back to storage and will pull the batteries. Won't be back out until April. Doesn't make economic sense to own an RV but who cares.

Hate to rub in guys but we're planning a trip to the Fl Key's after Xmass, one of the benefits of Florida living. BTW, what's winterizing mean?

Ours is tucked away in our barn. But we check on it everyday when we feed the barn cats.

Low 80's here today. Heading to the coast next weekend and again to San Luis Obispo for Thanksgiving. The winter has some of the best camping. Fewer crowds.

If you moved down South you could be camping year-round as well. I've got THREE trips in November, one in December, and one in January already reserved, and more in the planning stages.

Personally would rather have a cold day in Minnesota than any day in the southern US.

Just dropped my 22FB off at our under ground storage this week after an awesome trip to Destin.. Sucked to see her go knowing that I won't likely be taking any more trips this year...

That being said, since we bought her in May, we've racked up more than 10k miles with her and all of that time has been great!

One last shot after she had a wash..

We move our Airstream down South for every winter, 12 years now. We've done Florida, New Mexico, Arizona, California and some in between.

Then back to God's Country for summer. Come and see us there in summer, you won't want to leave. Well, until mid-October or so.

I'm sorry to hear that many of my fellow Airstreamers are now putting their Aistreams away for the winter. It is, indeed, a sad time of year.

We are very fortunate in that we can use our dear Lucy all year round, and we are able to store her in the Alley behind our house. Lucy has not yet had a bath since her 81 day trip out west, but she still looks good to us. We just washed her sheets and towels, and defrosted her refrigerator. She is now ready to hit the road again, clean or not.

As to the comment about preferring a cold day in Minnesota to any day in the South, I must respectfully disagree. When I was a young man, I lived in Hallock, Minnesota for three years. I don't believe that I would ever want to spend another cold day Minnesota. Assuming that it hasn't changed in the last 35 years, Hallock had some seriously cold days.

Minnesota winters haven't changed but we have. Loved winter fishing, hunting, trapping, just doing stuff outdoors. Keep moving and you don't get cold.

Something about getting older and not moving as much as we used to has us looking South come mid-October.
