Salt in Grey and Black water tanks
When I had my AS Winterized at the RV dealership, I was told that iodine in black and grey tanks helps keep the sensors that detect the level from being coated in calcium. The suggestion was to put a container of salt, a bag of ice and some water in the toilet and then drive for a bit and then flush. I am not sure how I was to get salt in the grey tank but I would say the same method but down the kitchen sink. Have others done this? Thoughts? If it matters, we just purchased a 2016 30' Classic that was previously owned and I don't know how it was maintained. Of course I would not do this until next year when I flushed the system but I am interested in more experienced ASers thoughts.
Thank you for comments.
