Lift the trailer using a jack, "between" the axles, with the jack on the bottom of the axle mounting plate. That plate is welded to the sides of the frame.
Then, you can install jack stands at the rear of the trailer, on the A-frame, "AND"
most importantly, on the rear end of the axle mounting plate, behind the rear axle.
This method will allow you to have the trailer "entirely" off the ground, and permit safe walking on the inside of the trailer.
Or, us jack stands on the A-frame, and behind the rear axle, but only if you do not plan on using or walking on the inside of the trailer.
Six jack stands, provide considerable stability. 4 jacks stands are still OK, IF
you do not walk on the trailer floor.
