My new Airstream RV Port

I finally decided what I was going to do for a cover for my new baby (1960 22' Land Yacht). Here is the very beginning of my project:

For details and more pics, see my blog at http://www.airforums.com/forums/blog...1960+astr.html

Thanks for looking! Tom from Lake McQueeney

These are great. I wish everyone would post pics of these RV ports, Chalets, etc that they use to keep their AS safe.

Tom,

Do I see 8x8's? You don't do things half way. How many stories is it going to be?

I don't know where McQueeney is, but you could get several feet of wet snow on that when it's finished and it won't fall down.

Gene,

They are full 6 X 6 treated (main posts and top plate). The high side is 12'. McQueeney is in central Texas, between Austin and San Antonio on the Guadalupe River- no show here! Thanks for the note, Tom

WillyD and 94Tri,

Thanks for the comments and encouragement. I am taking a break from working on the cover to attend the Texas Vintage Airstream Rally in San Antonio. It is my first rally and I am very excited to be going. I hope to make a lot of new friends and learn more about my trailer. Tom from Lake McQueeney
