Indoor storage near Pittsburgh

I am having difficulty finding an indoor storage facility near Pittsburgh or in eastern Ohio for my 19 foot flying cloud. Does anyone have any suggestions or know of a place? I'm willing to drive a couple hours in any direction from Pittsburgh.

If you can find a small rural airport, they may rent hangar space which is perfect. You can often share a larger hangar with a plane or other RV's, boats, etc. Also look at empty industrial space... there's often a ton of it here and there, some place where small contractors rent garage/office space combos. Do go "month to month" with an offer to be gone in 5 days if they rent it to get the best terms. Some of these are condo spaces, and an owner may sublet part for less than it's costing because 50% of something beats 100% of nothing. You just have to be hardass - but also reasonable. If you want to keep it hooked to electricity or have heat in the space it WILL cost more.

I have located a couple underground mines that do RV storage. They maintain a constant 65 degrees F and 65% humidity. A friend cautioned me to look into the humidity - can anyone tell me if storing in this kind of place is a no-no for Airstreams because of the humidity?

That combination results in a dew-point of just under 53 F so there should not be any condensation and your trailer should be fine.

I would probably remove the mattress, cushions, pillows and all clothing to avoid any chance of mustiness in the springtime (I would try to do this in any long term storage situation.)
