How to Remove Everpur Water Filter and Shut off Flow to It?

Last year after removing Everpur filter from under kitchen sink we didn't know there was a shut off valve of some type underneath, so we had antifreeze everywhere!

We are going to do it again in the next few days. So we don't have a repeat of last years fiasco... once the filter is removed how do we close off that tap?

My Everpur came with a large diameter plastic plug the screws into the opening where you remove the filter. Try using google to find a replacement plug that will fit your model of Everpur.
