Found interesting surprise today

Well I have been so busy trying to get my Excella II ready to go that I just ignored this big stuff sack about 2 ft in diameter and 3 feet long that was in the trailer. Well it turns out it is a cover for the trailer. It looks to be made out of Nylon or something similar. It looks to be in pretty good shape. I bet it will be a monster to put that thing on. Other than UV protection is it going to buy me anything to use this cover? Will it do more damage than good? It seems like it would dry out between rains. It this thing worth using?

Use it...you will be sorry. As light as it seems the abrasion will...WILL...ruin your clear coat and skin finish.

We bought a cover and found it a real waste of money.

Hard to keep it on when there are winds, and then the shifting in just normal weather chipped at our letters, which then had to be replaced.

Snow/ice also accumulate on top which is then a issue if you are heading south in January. Doug spent a memorable few hours in subzero wind-chills, hacking the ice and snow off the cover so we could get it off and head south. Never used it again.

We bought our 2010 Sport last December. Our dealer told us not to even think of covering the Airstream. It will ruin the clearcoat and cause alot of tarnish...
