Cleaning, Storage

My trailer is currently kept outside at my lake home in northern Wisconsin. The front of the trailer is covered with bug splatters and dark colored dirt - which is stubborn to get off. Car wash soap doesn't seem to work.

A friend has a giant pole barn about 25 miles west of the Twin Cities, a half-hour from my house. He will store the trailer indoors for $500/year. The parking spot is right at the door so I will have easy in/out access, and therefore will keep the trailer there year-round.

This weekend I'm heading north to clean up the trailer and tow it down to the storage barn. I'd really like to clean up the trailer before storing it - ideas on how to get the bugs off?

I would test this on a inconspicuos spot first.

I have had good luck with normal car wash solutions and a peice of oleifin indoor out door carpet as a scrubbie. The carpet can usally be found as a sample at the local HD or Lowes.

I soak the buggy area and using a wash sponge get as much off as possible. Then I use the carpet peice sopping wet and lightly scrub the bugs only trying to clean a small size spot, and making sure it stays wet.
