A little of each.....
....I've got my jug fermenting now.
A little water, pink and blue in a clear container outside in the cold.

Think twice next time Bob attends a rally and brings a dish to the potluck.

Bob, have you been making moonshine in radiators again?

Looks very similar to what came out of our fresh water tank when I forgot to drain it before storage one summer.
Algae gel. It just took a couple of tank flushes with bleach to clear it all out.

What strain doesn't need light to form?
Green slime=chlorophyl=light? I tink.
I've now got my jar cooking in the cold dark AS trunk.
Veeeeerrrry interesting.

hmmmm good point - whatever the strain of the critter, it looked strangely similar to that slime pictured above. It slurped its way out of the drain valve and quivered down the driveway.
The mystery deepens, but bleach the foe.

Either that or feed it until it evolves feet and can walk away on its own! Since you've already held it in your hand, it has probably imprinted on you, and thinks of you as "mama." So even if it runs amok and eats the rest of humanity before some caped crusader can kill it, you'll be safe.
