Black and Grey Holding tanks

When I stored my AS, I think (fairly sure) there was a little leftover "stuff" in my two holding tanks. Now upon winterizing I'm sure some of the water from the lines added to this as well as some of the antifreeze. Should I have dumped this or do you think I'll be OK? Should I try to get to the trailer and drain these?

Any leftover liquid is probably resting next to the black and grey shutoff valves just below the edge of the trailer. That's the low point in the system. I suppose if it freezes, expansion could break the plastic plumbing that houses the valves.

Would it be easy to take a bucket, open the cap and valves to drain out anything there? I think any small amount of stuff inside the tanks themselves would have plenty of room for expansion inside the tanks and be harmless.

Or, at the very least, dump a couple gallons of antifreeze so that you don't get a hard freeze in the lines. Unless you're sure you used a lot more antifreeze than leftover water, you sound vulnerable to damage.

If -- by "a little leftover stuff" -- you mean a couple of pints, you should have no trouble if you add a couple of gallons of antifreeze to each holding tank. If you haven't added to each trap in the system, now is a good time do so.

If I weren't sure that I had well under a gallon of leftover "stuff", I'd dump. I can't think of a worse place to have a crack in the plumbing!

If the rest of your winterization was done correctly, IMO you are good to go . . .
