Antifreeze / pump question

Faucets, low point, fresh water valves all closed...everything closed.

Camco winterizing three way valve installed...I pumped 1 gallon of AF until the system reached pressure and the pump shut off...went around to all the faucets but seemed like I needed more AF so went to pump one more gallon.

The issue is that the pump quit drawing AF. Hmmm.

Out of suspicion I broke the both low points open a crack and there was alot of back pressure.

Still, I could not get the pump to draw.

What am I missing?

Make sure the Camco fittings are tight. Mine were loose and it was sucking air.

Use an air compressor to blow out the lines and you will be fine. Add antifreeze to all traps. Dave

Happened to me too. The swivel on the Camco clear hose really needs to be tightened past the point you would think it would break until it seats and quits sucking air. Poor design. I will replace with a non-swivel barb connector next year - when I remember... on an unexpectedly cold evening ... when the stores are closed.... Well, maybe I will change it over this summer

Thanks for the bump Bulldog. Yep, the forum prevailed. All it needed was some pipe dope on the threads and it sucks anti-freeze like a champ.
