I have a 12' h x 24' w overhead door which has worked out great. Is ugly but it's on a shed back behind the house so it doesn't matter. The shed is long enough to be able to park the traylah and tow vehicle while hitched and still be able to walk all the way around with the door closed. Even with lots of space I still have to pay attention while backing in part because the driveway turns.
I previously posted pictures of our current garage with the 10' by 10' door. We have our new garage built on a lot we purchased and it is much larger 42' by 40' with a center door that is 12' wide by 14' tall. We wanted to make sure we could put anything we wanted in this garage instead of needing to use a shoe horn like to back in like with our old garage. Now we will be building a home on this lot and hope to sell our home here in Austin in the spring.
