Ultra-Fab 3002 on 65 Caravel

My jack gave up and I read nearly all of the threads about replacements. I was ready to beat, pour candle wax, CB Blaster my old jack until it was ready to give up its 45 year old resting place. Not needed. The old jack gave up without a whimper. It was the easiest repair I have made. The UF 3002 slipped into place, its tube was the correct size to fit the old hole. The mounting flange had the correct bolt circle diameter to use the old mount threads. Feeding the 10 gauge motor wire down inside the A frame took a few minutes. I really love the footing plate that pins onto the bottom of the jack tube and I expect to get a lot of usage out of the night lights. regards, Joel

Joe,

I'm happy the jack replacement went well for you. Don't you just love it when a plan comes together? Fortunately, I've never had a tongue jack fail, but don't look foward to it in any way.

Yes I love plans that work. But more importantly I love it when the designer develops the design to insure it works before it goes into production; like Apple products.
