torsion bars

Okay i give up.....is there an adj. for torsion bars on 05 25 ft ss.....many years ago autos had torsion bars and there was on SOME =adjusters...have not found anything on web sites about this...thanks

There are no torsion bars on Airstreams like there are on some cars. They use a torsion axle that compresses rubber rods ad the suspension moves up and down. See the diagrams at the top of the last page in the attachment. They don't have adjustments.

Automotive torsion bars function by anchoring one end of the bar and the bar twists as the suspension moves up and down. Adjustment was done by increasing or decreasing the tension by adjusting a bolt that preloaded the anchor position. I owned a 1972 Satellite Sebring with this type of suspension.

Anyway, there will be nothing about adjustment because Airstream axles do not have adjustments. If the suspension is old resulting in limited movement, replacement is necessary.
