Super Jack - Issue

Not sure, if this is the right place for this question or not, if not would the moderator(s) please move it to the correct spot. Thanks.

Here is the issue. I had a new SuperJack (capacity 3500 lbs) installed a few months ago. I went to jack up the trailer to hitch up and it would not stay in the raised position, it just sank back down to the level position.

I tried raising to the highest position, and lowering it to the lowest position, but that didn't work, it still will not "lock" in place when it is raised.

Any suggestions as to how to fix it, or do I need a new one (under warranty of course).

Thanks as always to the forum for their advice.

Bump

Thought I would bump this thread, since I haven't received any responses. Anyone have any idea what I can do?

Thanks,

Malcolm

You really should ask. I don't recall there being a brake of any kind, just gearing that held in position.

So. Do you hear any sounds from the jack?

Have you tried to disconnect power when in position? I say that because if the up/down switch is somehow sending power to the motor to go down, it might turn really slow...letting it down.
