Storing Airstream on Jackstands???

Is it worthwhile to store your Airstream on jackstands to take the weight off tires, wheel bearings and axles?

If so, where should you postion hydraulic jack and jackstands?

How do my axles look?

Semper Fi, Klevan, I've asked the same question about the axels before. It seems that most folks agree that the wheels should be fully visable in the wheel well. Just looking at yours, they seem a bit low. Could be that they are approaching the end of their "good life". Others will chime in with a better opinion, I'm still a rookie here.

That is one good looking trailer. Does the interior look as good as the exterior?

Thanks also Jim. I think your assessment is correct. The question becomes, is axle demise hastened or retarded by jacking up the trailer at the end of the axles service life expectancy.

Hello Klevan,

There is a survey on here somewhere that if I remember the results correctly, no trailers had rebuilt axles at 20 years but, at 30years, the number starts to appear and grow as a percentage.

It makes very good sense to do so. Those rubber bushings have to take a set eventually.
