I have another jack question, the jack on my 2012 28ft FC will go down but only go up if I switch it quickly while the gears are still turning up. If I let the gears "settle" it will not go up. Normally I would say a problem like this would be caused by the motor armature but...why only one direction?

power jack issue

I had a similar problem several years ago on my 2004 Classic. I called the company that made the jack and they gave me advice, send a part for free which fixed the problem. Good company.

Looks like the same Super Jack I had on our 05 Classic. Good jack but temperamental with me. Didn't care much for the sacrificial fiber gear that cost around $50 to replace. Bought a Husky 4500 with remote on sale at CW. Easy install and can level from inside the trailer with the torpedo level on the counter top. Makes hitching safer too. Can stand off to the side and raise/lower without getting in the crush zone when the other is backing. Hope it last a long time. Time will tell.

Insure your batteries are still in good shape. I had endless similar problems with my power jack with my previous set of batteries, they were original and near the end of their useful life. New batteries solved the jack problem instantly.
