So, for those of you who have recent trailers…
What is the proper fuse type and size for the power hitch…
And where is it bought?

I have a new Barker jack, part number 31558, that uses a 30-amp slow blow fuse. It is not wired yet, but I will put a 30-amp slow-blow fuse at both ends of the hot wire in case of a short to ground.
The fuses are on Amazon.
Owner's brochure calls for 12 gage (STRANDED) wire directly to the battery, but the web site mentions 10 gage.

Just installed a power jack on my car trailer and it came with a reset button wired directly to the battery. I installed the button on the frame.

I know this is an old thread but in my 2018 25FBT I have an Atwood 4000 lb. power jack. In the Atwood documentation it says for a blown fuse "replace with a Buss Type AGC-30 amp fuse or equivalent available in automotive supply stores."
When I picked up the trailer, the jack fuse blew at full extension. They replaced it after a short delay but it got me thinking that I needed to have some spares on hand. Then after reading this thread I thought I had to go find a very specific type of fuse. Maybe not so much, nowadays.

I’m curious about why it blew at full extension. Are you supposed to watch out and not fully extend it?

There should be a limit switch that stops the motor before you hit full extension. May need adjusting.

Well, mine blew, after I replaced the power switch on the levelrite 3000. Should have taken the fuse out first. Same problem as the rest, not finding it. However, do your search as "30 AMP 250V SLOW BLOW FUSE" and you will find it. Nobody stocks it as S30. The photos on the listing are exactly the same as mine, and the 6x30mm is also a match.

Used this link to order fuses and seller sent via USPS. Tracking showed they
never left initial postal facility. Seller made no effort to investigate problem or offer to send other fuses. Told me to file a dispute with eBay to get refund. Total waste of time.

Previous post update: Fuses finally arrived after almost a month from date of shipment via USPS. As advertised.
