New to motorhome ownership

We just bought a land yacht, 2004, 30 ft, and we have never owner anything like this before. We got a minimal explanation on how to use it. I think we are doing okay except we cannot seem to get the stabilizing jacks down.
We turn the coach battery switch
Have the motor running
Press both rear jacks
Can hear the jack pump motor
But nothing happens
Apparently the jacks worked before we got the motor home so we must be doing something out of order.
Is anyone there to help us.

Welcome to the Airstream insanity. You might check the oil level in the leveling system. If it's making noise that's a good sign. Also we like pictures, lots of pictures.
