new stabilizer jack

Ok so I have a jack that is bent up from the PO. I bought a new one from out of doors mart. Nice jack. So the two mount holes towards the outside of the trailer do not match up. Does this matter? Can I drill two new holes in the frame of the trailer?
I ask mostly because those two on the old jack of course were rusted in place and snapped off. The single one on the inside came out fine. Is it ok to do this? Figured it doesn't matter but wanted to be sure.

Well, seeing as how mine has 4 holes and bolts for each stabilizer on the outside frame mounting area, I'd say it's OK. But, I suppose it depends somewhat on the condition of your frame overall.

I drilled new holes for mine when replacing my BAL stabilizers. Just go a little smaller than the new screw and go slow when screwing 'em in. I used a little too small of a hole and sheared a new screw clean off when trying to install it. That resulted in my having to use an EZ out to get the sheared screw out and then had to drill the appropriate sized hole. Added an unnecessary 10 minutes to the process.

Thanks everyone! I didn't think it would be an issue but just wanted to check! I cleaned it all up and drilled two small holes. Used the self tapping screws it came with and bolted it right up! New jack works great!
