Low Profile Electric Tongue Jack?

OK, here's my random question. Is there a low profile electric tongue jack out there? Whenever the trailer is hitched I can't fully drop the tailgate on the pickup. The body of the electric tongue jack gets in the way (just barely) for the tailgate to swing all the way down. If the jack body was primarily underneath the tongue all would be great.

I've never seen one. Their design is such that lowering the profile lowers the "throw," that is, the working distance over which the jack operates.

Depending on your weight distribution and anti-sway setup you may be able to get an extended shank for a little bit more clearance. This one is about 4" longer than standard:

Reese Weight Distributing Shank, 15,000 lbs. Draw-Tite 63970

The PPPPP and HAHA hitches are inherently longer too so if you're thinking of getting one that should solve the tailgate problem.

IF this issue is on the '04 trailer and depending on jack model...

the jack head can be rotated 1/4 turn.

((look for the 3 hex head retention screws at the base))

often by rotating the head to the SIDE enough clearance is gained 4 tailgate droppin'

Rotating the motor assembly worked for me. The Tundra tailgate would not clear otherwise. Very easy to do.

My previous response was moved so I will try again. Is it possible for you to extend your tow shank on your truck? My hitch shank has two positions that are about 1 1/2" apart.(lock pin choices)

Extending the shank may give desired clearance, however, it could open up different challenges as far as w/d is concerned.
