Cool Inoperable trailer jack

I have a 1986 Soveriegn, 31 footer, and the electric jack just took a dump on me. It worked well and then quit in the middle of hooking up. I took the top off and found the ground wire attached but several of the copperstrands were broken. It worked intermittenly when I would just hold the switch one way but that stopped too. I was planing on relpacing the switch and re doing the connection on the ground wire, i am having difficulty finding a replacement switch though, it is a darfield toggle switch. I was hoping some airstream experts could point me in the right direction. Also given the ground wire was partially severed, could that have cause the problem...ie maybe I really don't need a whole new switch???
