Electric jack malfunction

I was recently hitching-up in 10 degree weather to leave for Fla. & the electric jack stopped working (the night light also does NOT work). I finished manually.
Before I take apart the jack - does anyone have a tip as to what problem could be? The batteries are fully charged & working in trailer.

Check the fuse first. You should find it on the wire between the jack head and the battery box. Also check the connection of the wire to the battery.

Probably the fuse. Since the light isn't working either it's probably not getting power. It should be a 30 amp fuse.

As well - don't forget the ground return - it's through the body of the jack to the A-frame. there should be a lock washer on one of the bolts, sandwiched between the frame and the jack's flange, which pierce through the paint in order to make a connection. I experienced some intermittent operation, as well as some sparking, until I tightened down the bolt.

To check the ground, remove the jack head, and measure voltage between battery positive terminal and bare metal at the top of the jack tube. if zero volts, it's probably a ground problem.
