Can you get a manual crank head for a power jack?

Hi all,

Have an electric tongue jack that decided to go south. The hand cranker on the other trailer still works great. I'm wondering if I can buy a front crank adapter to sit on top of the electric jack if I remove the power head. That is, can I "rebuild" the electric jack as a manual unit? Or must I just buy a new manual jack?

I've had it with electric.

Jim, a manual jack will probably cost about the same as the bits and pieces you would need to retrofit your electric jack. New manual jacks are less than $30 at Northern Tool, and Tractor Supply.Bulldog Round Tube A-Frame Jack — 5000-Lb. Capacity | Trailer Jacks | Northern Tool + Equipment

We had the same thing happen to ours once just after driving up and backing the 'stream in. Took the electric head off and used the "supplied" hand crank that came with the Airstream (kind of wondered what that was for...!). Worked like a charm. The manufacturer sent me some parts to fix it after I contacted them but I was unable to do so - plastic parts-gears. Airstream intervened on my behalf and a new head was sent to me. Always nice to know it's there just in case.
