The reviewers on Amazon seem to like it.

Hi Ken, we have one that was for our VW Camper some years ago. I never felt there was quite enough room on any of the levels to allow the tire to fit completely onto it. It looked like the tire was about to roll off because so much of the tread was not supported. Never really used it for that reason, but we've still got it in the box of unused RV junk.

Now when I think about it I probably could have made a little backside chock from wood that would fit into the next level down and lock the tire in place. Thanks for reminding me about it. If it holds the tire securely it would also serve as a jack to remove a wheel on a tandem axle Airstream.

Its long flat bottom surface would be unlikely to sink into soft ground.

Thanks Doug,

I had the same thought about the platform size.

I read one place that people use it on one wheel only of a tandem axle trailer. Not so sure that sounds like such a good idea to me.

If you try to use 2 of them on a tandem axle they won't fit between the tires.

I have 2 of them if your interested.

That's not a positive review.

What are you using in place of them?

To heck with the hi tech stuff , simple 2x6's or 1x6x6 squares depending on what's need to get level.

Now if a couple of people with a single axle is interested , I have 2 new Yellow things.

High tech is great, sometimes. I still like simple, and cheap, in most cases it works as good or better, and doesn't take up any more space...

Don't fear progress or change.

I use a pair of the Andersen Levelers. From 0 to 4 inches. Not limited to three set heights.

Google Anderson Leveler, a U-Tube video should come up. You can shorten one to fit between close tandems. They are smooth and the accompanying chock slips under the raised leading edge to cradle the tire. A bit spendy but well worth it IMHO.

Thanks for the replies. I got the feedback I was expecting. I think I'll give the Andersons a try.

I have a single axle 22 foot Airstream and in my opinion it has been the best accessory I have purchased for the trailer. Go for it.

I know what you mean. I get bummed when our site is level and I don't get to use them! 😄

I am a bit concerned about using the Camco leveler on a dual axle trailer. Since apparently one won't fit between the wheels, you are left with using just one wheel for leveling, The other wheel will be unloaded to an unknown (at least to me) amount. The unloaded weight will be an additional weight on the wheel and axle on the leveler. I am concerned it could cause an overload on the tire and axle bearing the extra weight. Any comments?

I would want to avoid unequal wheel loads. I realize folks may do this for less than a day, but I'd only want to do it for the time it takes to replace a failed tire with the spare.

FWIW, I use pressure treated wood planks for leveling. With a pickup it's easy enough to store in various sizes. I'd agree they're heavy and cumbersome. But until something else bridges the gap, I'll stay with them. (Same for plastic Legos for stabilizer pads. Gave away the last set).
