This system has much to like, easy parking as well as the ability to take some weight off the axles/tires for longer term. So now how do I balance benefits with cost, I ask myself.

The same way you did when spent 3x what you could have bought an SOB for..

or

You buy it cause it's a gadget; and like all men.... we love gadgets. I'm sure it would be an easier decision if the leveler units had blinking lights, dials and an APP for the iPhone

I hate gadgets Ron, but like this thing. That's up there with the recliner conversion and ProProde hitch in long term cost and benefit I think and we're not getting any younger . . .

An iPhone app and connection via BT would actually be very handy for this particular situation

buncha wimps. Get out there in the mud on your knees screaming at the wife to go back, no go forward, NO straighten the GD wheels first.....

What do these do to your ground clearance? Do they become the lowest structures on the trailer when pulling it over rutted dirt roads?

What's the yellow hose for? Is that part of a full time hookup?

They're too close to your tires to affect any ground clearance issues.
I was using the yellow hose to rinse the black tank; just a coincidence I was doing that at the same time I took the pics.

If the electric motor failed, is there a way to manually raise the jacks?

No, there's no way that I know of.
You have to buy a new trailer
