Atwood stabilizers

I came across a you-tube video of Atwood stabilizers and they seem much easier to set up than cranking down the Bal units. Would they work on my Globetrotter?

These are really old design. Had them on my 1972 pop-up. Never seen them on anything heavier. You are relying on straight brute force on the rod for all pressure applied. The screw of the BAL allows for mechanical advantage when applying stabilizing force. I suppose they would work, provided a proper mounting place is used, but I wouldn't count on rock solid stabilizing results.
