Yeah, that is what I try to avoid...carrying 1/2 a lumber yard with me!
Pretty sure you should have both axles supported too.
I understand you can overload if you just jack one axle for too long. OK for tire changing maybe, but I would not want to stay like that.
The ramp idea works great-infinitely adjustable-not just in 1 inch increments, I just need to find something wider.

Sometimes the original is the best, this method goes back a long ways, wish I could find a set of those old aluminum ones!

Nope. There are some old AS ones floating around. I have seen pix somewhere on this site, that's where I got the idea to replicate them put of wood. They work great.
I firmly believe in the K-I-S-S principle and these strongly adhere...brilliant, simple.
(probably would need fat wallet for the AS ones too...if you could find them).
I'll look for the pic, and take a shot of mine this weekend up in NH...
Found it; http://www.airforums.com/forums/f238...-up-25931.html

Good luck finding the original one - would be nice, Here's one that might work well without breaking the bank.

No-slip Tire Ramp
I have used a ramp to remove flat tires for many years on two and three axle Airstreams. To keep it from sliding on smooth pavement, I put a rubber mat under it. I have also reduced the need for it by going to Maxxis load range E tires on my current 31' trailer.

BillTex, don't have to fit between the tires. Just pull forward for the front ones, and back up for the rear ones. No?

What they are saying is: to remove the front tire place the ramp behind the rear tire and back on to it.

My bad...I have taken this post off topic.
My interest is using ramps to LEVEL the camper. Not change a flat...
