Another key to lose

I took the electric tongue jack off to inspect the mounting (OK) and to lubricate the gearbox. I decided that it might be a good idea to put a keyed switch in the line to the jack so that it could be locked in the off (no power) position. This may lessen the chance of theft or damage due to unauthorized use-or maybe it's just one more thing to do or forget to do?

If the coach is in a unsecure location for periods of time it sounds like a good idea to me. Cheap insurance.

Does the key also disable the break away switch?

Great idea. I did the same, but the key switch is located inside.

Ha! No break-away switch on an Excella with vacuum over hydraulic brakes.

Emergency brakes are activated when the vacuum supply hose is torn off. Hard to imagine supplying vacuum,, but there it is (or isn't).
